The FPS Airsoft Reinforced Tappet Plate Return Spring is a high-quality Italian-manufactured AEG gearbox upgrade designed to improve BB feeding reliability and provide consistent tappet plate operation.

Manufactured in Italy from premium pre-hardened carbon steel with silicon and chromium additives, the FPS reinforced tappet spring offers excellent strength, durability and resistance to fatigue.

One of the main advantages of the FPS reinforced tappet plate spring is its ability to reduce or eliminate mid-cap syndrome.

This issue can occur when the strong magazine spring pressure from a fully loaded mid-cap magazine interferes with the movement of the Airsoft rifle's nozzle and tappet plate, potentially causing inconsistent BB feeding or reduced performance.

The reinforced FPS spring provides additional return tension, helping the tappet plate and air nozzle return to their correct positions during the gearbox cycle.

This makes it particularly useful for upgraded AEGs and rifles experiencing feeding problems when using high-capacity mid-cap magazines.

Premium Reinforced Steel Construction

FPS manufactures the spring using burnished, pre-hardened carbon steel wire, enhanced with silicon and chromium to meet the EN10270/2 material specification.

The specially selected steel provides excellent mechanical strength and resistance to repeated compression and extension, making it suitable for the demanding operating conditions inside an AEG gearbox.

Heat-Treated for Long-Term Durability

Following manufacture, each spring undergoes a specialised stabilisation process.

The spring is placed in an oven at 400°C for 30 minutes, helping stabilise the material and improve its resistance to fatigue and loss of tension during extended use.

This manufacturing process helps maintain consistent spring performance over repeated gearbox cycles.

Compatible with Version 2 & Version 3 Gearboxes

The FPS reinforced tappet plate spring is designed for compatible V2 and V3 AEG gearboxes, making it suitable for a wide variety of Airsoft platforms, including many M4, M16, MP5, AK, G36 and AUG-style electric rifles.
